Srinagar, Aug. 20 -- Ahead of the Khelo India Water Sports Festival, the upcoming event at Dal Lake has received a major boost as three latest-model dragon boats for competitions scheduled from August 21 to 23 have been provided to the Jammu and Kashmir Dragon Boat Association.
The boats have been provided by the Delhi Dragon Boat Association for the sports event scheduled at Dal Lake.
The sports festival is being organised jointly by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and J&K Sports Council.
J&K has already produced six international players, including two gold medallists Zahoor Ahmad Latoo and Zain Ul Aabidin at the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) World Championship in Thailand 2023.
