Shillong, April 3 -- Ha Lyngkha Bneng (The Elysian Field) a Khasi-language film from Meghalaya, has been selected for the main competition at the 47th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) 2025.
The festival, one of the oldest and most esteemed film festivals in the world, first established in 1935, will take place in Moscow from April 17 to 24, bringing together some of the finest filmmakers, actors, and cinema enthusiasts from across the globe.
Ha Lyngkha Bneng is directed by Pradip Kurbah, a pioneering filmmaker in Meghalaya, tells the story of a secluded village in Meghalaya gradually being deserted due to urban migration. It explores themes of loneliness, resilience, and the strength of human connections through the lens of...
