Hyderabad, Jan. 30 -- Hyderabad District Congress Committee President Syed Khalid Saifullah on Friday strongly condemned the remarks made by BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy against a serving IPS officer, terming them baseless, irresponsible and detrimental to the dignity of the civil services.
In a media statement, Khalid Saifullah said it was deeply disturbing that a sitting legislator had levelled unsubstantiated allegations against an officer who was only performing his lawful duty of maintaining public order. He said dragging religious insinuations into policing matters was unacceptable and violated constitutional principles of secularism and equality.
