Chandigarh, Feb. 7 -- In a significant breakthrough for the Punjab Police, the primary suspect in the high-profile murder of Satwinderpal Singh, alias Lucky Oberoi, was apprehended today following a brief exchange of fire in the Khasa area of Amritsar.
The operation, part of a state-wide crackdown on organized crime, resulted in the recovery of a .30 bore Beretta pistol from the possession of the accused.
The arrested individual has been identified as Shaminder Singh, a resident of Mithapur, Jalandhar.
