Thiruvananthapuram, April 29 -- In a significant development, the investigation into the death of BDS student Nithin Raj has been transferred to the Crime Branch, following mounting public pressure and allegations of lapses in the earlier probe.
The case was initially handled by a special police team led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Kannur. However, the victim's family and various organisations had expressed dissatisfaction, alleging that crucial aspects were not being properly examined.
