Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 11 -- union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah visited the historic Lord Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple on Sunday morning during his trip to the Kerala capital to participate in a BJP state leadership meeting.
Shah arrived at the north entrance of the temple at around 10 am and spent about 20 minutes inside offering his prayers. He was received by BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Travancore Royal family member Aditya Varma, and senior BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan.
The visit coincided with the ongoing Murajapa, the six-yearly continuous Vedic chanting ritual held at the temple. After completing the Darshan, Shah left the temple to take part in various discussions and meetings scheduled for the day.
