Kannur, March 26 -- AICC general secretary K C Venugopal today accused Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of compromising with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) -- the parent organization of BJP -- to settle cases against him.

Speaking after inaugurating a UDF women's convention at Azhikode in support of Abdul Kareem and other district candidates, Venugopal alleged a "secret relationship" between Pinarayi Vijayan and the Sangh Parivar, claiming it has triggered unrest within the CPI(M) and could lead to more cadres quitting.

He said the Chief Minister's reactions reflect electoral setbacks and accused him of targeting the UDF with "unbalanced" remarks.
