Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 10 -- The number of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) under the Kerala State Industries Department operating in profit has risen to 27.
In October alone, 27 PSUs registered profits, while 25 PSUs operated in profit during the April-September period. Compared to the same period last year, 14 additional PSUs have moved into profit, and 7 PSUs have increased their profit levels.
Revenue increased by 9.07 percent, with 32 PSUs recording improved turnover. The total operating profit stands at Rs 27.30 crore, reflecting a growth of Rs 82.09 crore. During the same period last year, only 11 PSUs were in profit.
