Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 28 -- Kerala's ongoing anti-narcotics campaign is delivering major results, with intensified enforcement under 'Operation D-Hunt' leading to nearly 25,000 arrests and significant drug seizures across the State.
"According to official data, between February 22 and August 25 this year, excise and police personnel inspected 3,82,366 individuals, registering 23,652 cases," said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
These included 222 major trafficking cases and 704 medium-scale sales cases. A total of 24,986 persons were arrested during the period.
Seized contraband included 16.004 kg of MDMA and 2,144.448 kg of ganja, reflecting the scale of the crackdown.
