Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 29 -- Presenting the Budget estimates for 2026-27, Kerala Finance Minister KN Balagopal on Thursday said the state expects revenue receipts to increase substantially to Rs 1,82,972.10 crore, while revenue expenditure is projected at Rs 2,17,558.76 crore. This would result in a revenue deficit of Rs 34,586.66 crore for the year.
The net capital expenditure for 2026-27 is pegged at Rs 19,384.86 crore, with net loans and advances estimated at Rs 1,447.99 crore.
The state's net public debt is expected to rise further to Rs 51,378.49 crore, while transactions under the public account have been maintained at Rs 4,000 crore.
