Thiruvananthapuram, April 9 -- Kerala witnessed strong voter engagement in the 2026 Legislative Assembly elections, with a provisional turnout of 78.03 per cent, according to data released by the Election Commission of India.

Polling began at 7 am and concluded at 6 pm across all 140 assembly constituencies. Participation among male voters was 75.01 pc, while 80.86 pc of female voters cast their ballots. Voters identifying as third gender recorded a turnout of 57.04 pc.
