Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 24 -- In a significant relief to government job aspirants, the Kerala Cabinet today approved a four-year increase in the upper age limit for examinations conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC).
With the revised norms, the maximum age limit for general category candidates has been raised from 36 to 40 years. The decision also extends proportionate relaxation to reserved categories.
Accordingly, the upper age limit for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates has been increased to 43 years, while candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) can now apply up to 45 years of age.
