Thiruvananthapuram, March 11 -- Kerala has translated investment proposals worth over Rs one lakh crore into actual projects during the past five years, Industries Minister P Rajeeve has said.

Policy initiatives undertaken by the Industries Department have given a major thrust to Kerala's emergence as a global destination for ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)-driven industries and hi-tech manufacturing in the coming decade, the Minister said.

Rajeeve said that of the total investment mobilised during the period, Rs 27,158.64 crore came through the Year of Enterprise initiative, Rs 55,365 crore through the Invest Kerala Global Summit, and around Rs 15,000 crore through the Meet the Investor Programme.
