Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 9 -- Kerala's first phase of local body elections today saw prominent political, religious, and community leaders casting their votes.
Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar exercised his franchise at Jawahar Nagar LP School, while union Minister Suresh Gopi was among those to cast his ballot at Shasthamkotta Government School.
Several key Congress leaders were also among the voters. They included K. C. Venugopal, Opposition leader V. D. Satheesan, CWC member Ramesh Chennithala, Lok Sabha member Dr. Shashi Tharoor, K. Muraleedharan, and V. M. Sudheeran.
Prominent UDF leaders such as Adoor Prakash, Thiruvanchur Radhakrishnan, Neyyattinkara Sunil, K. C. Joseph, and K. S. Shabarinathan also cast their votes at various...
