Kochi, Sept. 27 -- Kerala is all set to add flavour to its public spaces with the launch of modern food streets, a novel initiative under the Modernisation of Food Streets project designed to combine safe, hygienic eating with a vibrant street-dining experience.

Food streets have already been developed at Shankhumukham in Thiruvananthapuram, Kasturba Nagar in Ernakulam, Kozhikode Beach and Kottakunnu in Malappuram, offering traditional delicacies in clean, attractive settings.

The first among them, the Ernakulam Kasturba Nagar food street, will be formally inaugurated by Health Minister Veena George today.
