Kannur, Aug. 26 -- Kerala Forest Minister A K Saseendran has said the government is implementing a series of projects to transform areas affected by human-wildlife conflict in the State into human-wildlife friendly areas.

Addressing a function after inaugurating various projects at Valayamchalil, on Tuesday, aimed at tackling human wildlife conflict in Kannur district and the Aralam Wildlife sanctuary, Minister Saseendran said that directions have already been given to explore the possibility of converting wild elephants causing trouble in residential areas of Aralam Farm, the State's lone rehabilitation farm, into Kumki elephants (trained elephants used to manage wild herds).
