Kottayam, Feb. 15 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate development projects worth Rs 283.60 crore at Government Medical College, Kottayam, on Monday.
Health Minister Veena George said the medical college has witnessed unprecedented development in recent years, with projects worth Rs1,200 crore implemented so far.
She noted that the institution has also made remarkable strides in advanced medical treatment. The hospital successfully carried out the state's first liver transplant and has become a national model in organ transplantation.
