Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 29 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday said the State Budget presented by Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal is a people-centric Budget that strengthens welfare measures, accelerates economic growth through higher capital investment and infrastructure development, ensures major relief to government employees and pensioners, expands social security, and reaffirms Kerala's firm stand in defence of federalism and constitutional rights.

Reacting to the Budget, the Chief Minister said the LDF government has been working consistently over the past ten years to transform Kerala into a modern, developed middle-income society, a goal clearly defined in the 14th Five-Year Plan in 2022.
