Kasaragod, Feb. 9 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday called for a united resistance against communalism and a collective fight against the ideology of a theocratic state, while addressing the valedictory function of the centenary conference of Samastha Kerala Jem-iyyathul Ulama at Kuniya in the district.
Vijayan said Samastha has consistently worked for secularism and has effectively countered communalism, making its role highly relevant in the current social environment.
