Kochi, April 18 -- Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has alleged that Kerala is becoming a "paradise for Love Jihadis" and called for stringent legal measures to curb what it described as rising incidents of conversion and targeted relationships.
Addressing a press conference here, VHP National Secretary General Milind Parande expressed concern over what he termed as "new methods" being used to trap Hindu women, followed by alleged conversion.
He claimed that such activities have taken the form of a "nationwide catastrophe" and said Kerala's Hindu population is among the worst affected. He further alleged the existence of a "Communist-Jihadi alliance" in the state and demanded a strict law to prevent illegal conversions.
