Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 29 -- The Kerala Arts and Crafts Village (KACV) at Vellar has completed five successful years, marking a significant milestone in taking Kerala's traditional craftsmanship to the global stage and stepping into its sixth year of operations.
Within a short span of five years, the crafts produced at the village have found their way from the hands of local artisans to the highest offices of the country, including those of the President of India and the Prime Minister.
The institution has emerged as one of the top-performing handicraft centres in the country in terms of sales, recording a total turnover of Rs 50 crore.
