Kerala: KPCC president Joseph questions CPI(M) over demolition of Gandhi's statue at Malappattam
Kannur, May 18 -- Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Sunny Joseph, MLA on Sunday demanded clarification on the Kannur CPI(M) district Secretariat member's announcement that the construction of Mahatma Gandhi's statue would not be allowed at Malappattam, the stronghold of the CPI(M), was the policy of the CPI(M) State committee.
He was talking to news persons here after visiting Malappattam to inspect demolition of Gandhi's statue and Youth Congress leader P R Saneesh' house allegedly by the CPI(M) workers a few days back.
He accused the CPI(M)'s action in Kannur, alleging it is encouraging violence.
