Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 22 -- The Managing Director of Kerafed, Saju K. Surendran, has initiated disciplinary proceedings against four employees of the federation's Karunagappally coconut oil manufacturing unit after it was found that Kerafed Coconut Oil one-litre pouches carried old batch numbers and outdated prices, causing a financial loss estimated at over Rs 20 lakh.
The employees; S. Gopakumar, K. Jayaprakash, S. Pramod, and V. Nisarkutty, has been held responsible for the lapse. All four are union office-bearers who have been working in the same section for more than fifteen years.
