Bhubaneswar, April 30 -- The shocking Keonjhar woman's skeleton case triggered a storm in the special session of the Odisha Assembly on Thursday, overshadowing discussions on women's participation in Indian democracy as the Opposition BJD and Congress launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led state government.

The Assembly had convened for a special debate on the role and participation of women in Indian democracy, but proceedings were disrupted after Opposition members raised the disturbing incident reported from the Odisha Gramya Bank branch at Mallipasi under Patna block in Keonjhar district earlier this week.
