Dehradun, Oct. 9 -- Recurrent power cuts in Kedarnath area will no longer be an issue for locals and pilgrims as Uttarakhand government has began exercise to set up a new high tech 33/11 kilovolt power substation at the shrine area.
Need for a separate power station resulted owing to creation of a new township known as Kedarpuri in the past more than 12 years.
Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) officials informed that a modern power station will be set by UPPCL in Kedarnath Dham.
According to the officials, new power station will immensely improve electricity supply in Kedarnath suburb.
