Tokyo, Dec. 18 -- Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Tokyo on Thursday for an official visit to Japan, the presidential press service announced in a statement on Wednesday.

The visit marks a significant step in further deepening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Japan.

At Tokyo's Haneda International Airport, Tokayev was warmly welcomed by Japanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ayano Kunimitsu, reflecting the close cooperation and cordial relations shared by the two nations.
