Chennai, Sept. 28 -- A day after the heart-rending stampede tragedy that claimed 39 innocent lives atTamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Founder and actor-politician Vijay's rally at Karur, the TVK today movedthe Madras High Court seeking either a CBI inquiry or a probe by the Special Investigation Team (SIT),even as another plea was filed by one of the injured victims demanding a ban on the actor's rally.

Being a Sunday and the Court holiday, Senior TVK functionary Nirmal Kumar made an urgent mentionbefore Ms Justice Dhandapadi at his residence this afternoon demanding a CBI or SIT probe into theincident.
