Bengaluru, March 16 -- In a major relief for students appearing for the SSLC examinations, the Karnataka government has announced free bus travel for all SSLC students across the state from March 18 to April 2.
Students can travel without any cost in KSRTC, BMTC and other state-run buses by showing their hall tickets while going to and returning from examination centres. No special bus pass or ticket is required to avail the facility.
The initiative aims to reduce travel-related stress for students, especially those from rural areas or those travelling long distances for exams. Officials have instructed bus drivers and conductors to cooperate with students and ensure buses stop near exam centres to help them reach on time.
