Bengaluru, Feb. 13 -- Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Friday said the state government has, in principle, agreed to permit the Karnataka Cricket Association (KCA) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru to conduct IPL and other cricket matches, subject to compliance with specific guidelines and recommendations.
Speaking to reporters, Parameshwara said the decision has already been conveyed to the stakeholders concerned.
"We have already indicated to KCA and also RCB. In principle, the government has agreed to permit them to conduct matches - IPL matches or any other matches. But there are certain guidelines and certain recommendations made by Hon'ble Justice Kunha. We have already communicated those to them," he said.
