Bengaluru, Jan. 30 -- Contractors in Karnataka are threatening to halt work and launch a statewide strike over pending payments worth around Rs 38,000 crore, even as political leaders trade blame over the delay.
Manjunath, President of the Karnataka State Contractors' Association, said on Friday that despite repeated appeals to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, many issues remain unresolved. He also highlighted the alarming case of Chikkaballapur contractor Munegowda, who attempted suicide citing financial stress.
