Bengaluru, May 1 -- The internal leadership tussle within the Karnataka Congress has intensified further, with Leader of Opposition R Ashoka alleging from the outset that AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge has also been drawn into the ongoing Chief Ministerial power struggle in the state.

Addressing reporters in Bengaluru on Friday, Ashoka claimed that what was earlier seen as a contest between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has now widened, with Kharge's name entering the political narrative, further complicating the internal dynamics of the ruling party.
