Kanpur, Aug. 25 -- In a major breakthrough in the high-profile murder case of BSP leader Pintu Sengar, the Crime Branch of Kanpur police has arrested Aridaman Singh, a former Bar Association general secretary and a key accused carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on Monday.
He was on the run and was apprehended from Nepal. Aridaman was reportedly in constant touch with main shooter Manoj Gupta and was present just 200 meters away from the crime scene during the murder.
The murder, which took place in broad daylight on June 20, 2020, in Kanpur's Chakeri area, was the result of a land dispute. Pintu Sengar was gunned down near the residence of late SP leader Chandresh Singh. It has now emerged that Aridaman Singh and co-accused Dinu Upadhyay had ...
