Hyderabad, Feb. 3 -- On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Kamineni Hospitals on Tuesday launched an awareness campaign to help people understand their cancer risk based on family history.
As part of the initiative, individuals can give a missed call to 040-6905 9100 between February 4 and 10, 2026, to avail a free expert consultation with specialists.
The campaign is aimed at people with one or more relatives diagnosed with cancer, as nearly 10 per cent of cancers are hereditary due to inherited genetic changes. Medical experts said cancers such as breast, ovarian, endometrial, prostate, and colorectal cancers- especially when they occur at a young age or affect multiple family members require genetic evaluation.
