Ashok RainaKangra, Nov. 13 -- Kaal Bhairav Ashtami was celebrated with deep religious devotion and enthusiasm today at the ancient Baba Bhairav temple in Jwalamukhi in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh.
A large number of devotees thronged the temple from early morning, filling the forested surroundings of Kalidhar with chants and devotion.
Situated near the famous Shaktipeeth Jwalamukhi, the thousand-year-old Bhairav temple holds immense spiritual significance. Devotees performed special rituals, offering liquor to Lord Bhairav as a symbolic gesture of devotion and wish-fulfilment. The age-old saying "Jungle mein Mangal" (the forest is blissful) came true as the once-desolate forest echoed with hymns and prayers throughout the day.
