Shravasti, Feb. 24 -- A junior assistant of the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department was arrested on Tuesday by the Anti-Corruption Organisation (ACO) in Shravasti district for allegedly accepting a bribe.
The ACO team from Gonda carried out a planned operation and nabbed the accused, against whom a case has been registered at Bhinga Kotwali police station under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The accused, identified as Sunil Kumar Maurya, is currently posted as a junior assistant in the District Agriculture Officer's office.
