Srinagar, Jan. 16 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Medical Council (JKMC) processed a record 2,381 permanent registrations last year, marking an 80 per cent increase over 2024.
JKMC- the statutory body responsible for regulating the practice of medicine in Jammu and Kashmir- said that 2025 was marked as a year of unprecedented growth and excellence in medical registration and professional development, processing a record 2,381 total permanent registrations.
"This represents a significant 80 per cent increase from 1,324 in 2024, underscoring the Council's commitment to bolstering healthcare workforce capacity in the region," said JKMC president S Muhammad Salim Khan.
