Jaipur, Feb. 18 -- Nine officers were arrested by the sleuths of the Rajasthan Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today for alleged corruption in the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the state.
The teams of ACB in a major multi-location action, conducted simultaneous raids in Jaipur, Barmer, Udaipur, Karauli and New Delhi and nabbed the accused officials.
Sources in the Bureau said that two major tube well companies fabricated forged certificates in the name of another limited company and procured tenders for works of Rs 960 crore on the basis of the forged documents.
The sources said that the officers in reference had even manipulated and altered the terms and conditions of the tenders for works of around Rs 50 crore.
