New Delhi, Jan. 20 -- JioHotstar has announced the introduction of new subscription plans for new users, with no changes for existing subscribers. The revised plans will go live on January 28, with prices starting at Rs 79 per month.
As part of the update, JioHotstar is introducing monthly subscription options across all tiers, in addition to its existing quarterly and annual plans. The move is aimed at making the platform more accessible to individual mobile viewers as well as families streaming content on connected TVs at home.
According to the company, large-screen viewing on connected televisions has grown significantly in the 11 months since the platform's launch, prompting a revision in its pricing structure.
