Ranchi, April 24 -- union Minister Annapurna Devi on Friday called for participation in a proposed women's protest march in Ranchi, urging women to unite for their rights, dignity and security.

She said a "Mahila Akrosh March" will be held on Saturday from Morabadi ground to Albert Ekka Chowk, where a large number of women are expected to take part.

Union Minister described the proposed march as a spontaneous movement and said it is not limited to any single political party but represents broader participation of women and the public.

She urged women across political and social affiliations to join the march and raise their voice on issues concerning their rights and safety.
