Palamu (Jharkhand), Jan. 23 -- Palamu district police acting on a strong intelligence inputs thwarted an extortion bid and arrested eight criminals associated with the notorious Sujit Sinha and Prince Khan gang before they could open fire for extortion at two National Highway construction sites.
The arrests were made in Medininagar under the Sadar police station area, dealing a major blow to organised crime targeting infrastructure projects in the district.
