Ranchi, Feb. 21 -- Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari said the doctors involved in the complex surgery to remove a tumour weighing nearly 5kg from the cervico-dorsal (neck-back) region of a 54-year-old patient will be honoured for their exceptional contribution.
The Neurosurgery Department of Sadar Hospital in Ranchi successfully conducted the complex surgery. Government sources said the patient had been suffering for the past 17 years from a gradually enlarging tumour that caused severe pain, heaviness, and major difficulty in performing daily activities such as bending, sitting, and sleeping.
