Ranchi, Jan. 21 -- Under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Government of Jharkhand has taken a major step towards strengthening the state's public health system with the decision to establish 245 Block Public Health Units (BPHUs) across all Assembly constituencies in every district. The initiative will be implemented at a total cost of Rs 203.35 crore.

Health Minister Irfan Ansari said the establishment of BPHUs marks a historic and far-sighted move to reinforce healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.
