Ranchi, April 24 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has flagged parts of Jharkhand's Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected areas in a probe into alleged illegal fund flows through foreign debit cards.
The agency conducted searches on April 18 and 19 at six locations across multiple states under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), it said.
According to officials, foreign bank-issued debit cards, including those linked to overseas institutions, were brought into India and used repeatedly at ATMs to withdraw cash, bypassing regulatory channels.
The ED said the pattern of transactions indicates possible involvement of an organised network.
