Ranchi, May 7 -- The single-circuit line-in line-out (LILO) of the 220 kV Govindpur-Dumka double-circuit transmission line at the 400/220 kV GSS NKTL substation in Dhanbad has been energised, strengthening power supply in several regions of Jharkhand.

Officials said the transmission link was energised on May 7 after obtaining statutory clearances from agencies including the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Central Transmission Utility of India Ltd (CTUIL), Railways, BSNL and Grid India.

Following energisation, around 190 MW of power is being drawn from the NKTL grid substation, including nearly 100 MW for Dumka and 90 MW for Govindpur.
