Ranchi, March 8 -- The Jharkhand government on Sunday provided a one-time incentive of Rs 22,000 each to nearly 40,000 health sahiyas across the state on the occasion of International Women's Day.
The incentive was distributed under the state government's "Jharkhand Swasthya Prahari" initiative. Under the scheme, sahiyas receive a monthly incentive of Rs 2,000 and the amount of Rs 22,000 represents the lump-sum payment for 11 months of the financial year 2025-26, which has been transferred to their bank accounts.
At a state-level programme held at the Public Health Institute auditorium in Namkum, Ranchi, cheques were symbolically handed over to selected sahiyas during the event.
