Windhoek, Jan. 23 -- The Japanese might have finished the group stage of their maiden ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup without any wins. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a roaring success.

They took on Australia, Sri Lanka and Ireland and held their own. They more than proved they belong on the world stage.

It's important to point out their campaign isn't completely over; they face Tanzania on Saturday in a grading fixture, with both sides looking to end their so far-winless crusades on a high.

But after their Group A loss to Ireland, completing that stage of the tournament, it was time to reflect on the experience it's been so far, for a nation still making their way in the cricketing landscape, according to ICC.
