Jammu, Feb. 14 -- Police on Friday recovered a contraband of heroin worth crores near the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the fight against drug abuse, a police team from Nowshera, acting on specific inputs, rounded up two suspects, namely Ashok Kumar and Sanjay Kumar.

"During the interrogation of both the suspected persons, they spilt the beans about the hidden narcotics, and on their disclosure, six kg of heroin was recovered from the Sair area of Nowshera," said police.

They said that the contraband is believed to be smuggled from across the border and has a worth of crores in the international market.
