Srinagar, June 16 -- Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir, Maqsood-ul-Zaman, on Monday directed all security agencies to maintain a heightened state of alert and seamless coordination, underlining that the safety and security of Amarnath pilgrims remain the topmost priority.

Zaman conducted the comprehensive security in Bandipora district.

The Amarnath Yatra, is set to begin on July 3 from twin routes of Pahalgam in Anantnag district and Baltal in Ganderbal district.
