Vishal BhartiJammu, March 22 -- The picturesque and scenic destination-Sanasar-located some 130-kilometres from here, is all set to get its first nine-hole golf course, which is likely to be made operational by the mid of this year.

The Jammu and Kashmir government, with a focus on promoting tourism across the region, is laying special stress on golf tourism by creating world-class golfing infrastructure.

"Surrounded by dense coniferous trees and mountain ranges, creating a tranquil environment, the upcoming Sanasar Golf Course will be a game changer for the tourism in the Jammu region," Virender Manyal, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) here told UNI.
