Jammu, Feb. 24 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested one person with contraband of cannabis (charas) in Rajouri district of the union Territory.
A police spokesman here said that they achieved a major success during a naka check at Tariq Bridge and arrested one person identified as Mohd Munir of Dandote, Tehsil Budhal, District Rajouri.
He was travelling in a car and during the search, police recovered approximately 1.4 kg of charas, which falls under commercial quantity, from his possession.
The accused was arrested on the spot and the vehicle used for transportation of the contraband was seized, said police, adding that a case under relevant sections was registered and investigation is taken up.
